Oh no! You're trapped in a dungeon- Apatite's Dungeon! Can you Escape Your Apatite?
Controls: WASD for Actions, Arrow Keys for Movement.
Changelog since the Jam Version:
- Added auto-saving upon entering/exiting the dungeon.
- Fixed the credits from being dummied out on the final floor.
- Increased XP/Money gains for going solo.
- Adjusted pricing for the gym.
- Adjusted failure chances when really fat (it's less brutal).
- Fixes related to enemy AI and skills causing crashes.
- Fixes related to the equipment menu.
- Fixes all bugs related to save data from v1.3. Your save data will still work in v1.4.
- Fixes bugs with chests spawning when they shouldn't (if you got extra items from earlier versions, you get to keep them).
- Added a textbox in battles that explains what your skills do. The text was already there, but I didn't originally get around to adding this bit in originally. My bad!
- Fixed a crash with Super Crits.
(Using a save from any version before 1.3 will cause the game to crash during battles. Please hit 'New Game' and start over in that case - sorry for the inconvenience!)
WARNING: Saving does not exist in the Jam release (and the credits are dummied out by mistake), due to running out of time during some last-minute issues. I am so sorry. I've kept the original build (which says v1.0 on the title screen) up as per the Jam rules.

the game is pretty fun to figure out; i'm curious if this game was inspired by 'brave dungeon'? if not, you should try it out, it plays a lot like this imo!

Sorry to be 'that guy' but I don't see anyone else mentioning it, so I feel obligated to ask:
Is there a reason the title is spelled how it is, instead of "Escape Your Appetite"?

do you have any plans to add more party members or floors to this game in the future?
Probably not. I'm definitely considering work on a full game using the codebase from this as a starting point - no promises though, seeing as I'm still working on another full game project at the moment.
Game's alright so far, but, like, is it just me or are the enemies complete tanks? Feels like something's wrong when it takes the entire party attacking one enemy 3-4 times each just to take one out.
Might just be a balance problem or something, like Vixen's single-target attack doing 5 damage and the "weak" alternate full-team attack doing 4 to each.
Make sure to make use of the 'Power up' system in the Party menu back at the home base - stats are pretty low to start, so you need to boost them up with cash. Levels don't effect your stats directly, but you can get some freebie stat boosts (and skills) by using the 'Class Change' system to upgrade your classes at levels 5 and 15 each - and on top of that, money and xp are boosted when going solo in fights, so there's incentive to take advantage of that to mitigate the grind a bit.

If the cherry attacks you even once the entire game save becomes corrupted. Now if you re-open the game whenever you do any action in combat with the protagonist the game will crash
Workin' on it! Save issue.
Apparently the second equipment slot is broken on all 3 characters too. Depending on what you select first, if you try to equip something to it it will either remove the item from your inventory or crash the game.
Working on it for 1.3, I'm so sorry!
